The Vineyard

Our 15 hectares vineyard is located on several villages : Piégon, Puyméras, Saint Romain-en-Viennois and Mirabel-aux-Baronnies. The vineyard is located between 350 to 450 meters altitude on sandy, gravelly and clay-limestone soils.

We have a great grapes diversity such as Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne and Clairette.

We use ancient practices to cultivate our vineyard in order to respect the vines and the environment such as 'chaussage' and 'déchaussage' of the vineyard, mechanical weeding according to moon cycles and Cordon de Royat pruning.

We use organic fertilizer and lavender straw compost, a local farmer’s surplus put to good use on our vineyard.

We also treat our vineyard reasonably and organically.

Every decision is made out on the plot in order to respond as precisely as possible to the needs of our vineyard.

The Vinification

Thanks to the small quantity we produce, we handle every step of our organic wine production, from the ground to the bottle.

The grapes are harvested, after berries tasting on the plot, either manually or mechanically depending on the age of the vines and the wine produced.

For white and rosé wines, we do cold pressing and alcoholic fermentation at low temperature. Ageing in stainless steel vats during 6 months.

For the red wine, we destem completely, the alcoholic fermentation is done with indigenous yeasts, the maceration time is defined according to our tasting. Ageing in ciment vats during 9 months.

We strongly limit inputs so that the terroir can fully express itself through our wines.
